Welcome to the official MCTVA website

The MCT Volunteer Association is a creative resource bringing together volunteers of Access Montgomery and Montgomery County by supporting efforts of those who create media as a voice for diversity and free expression. The MCTVA holds monthly meetings (second Tuesday) with substantive programs, and provides learning and practice sessions. The MCTVA is a constructive voice with MCT's Board of Directors and Management.

Coming events

Wednesday, May 03, 2011 7:00 PM/9:00 PM Regular Meeting, Classroom A

Producers Steve Freidman, John Wetmore, Frank Nelson, and others will lead a panel discussion on how to distribute your shows to many different venues, both on and off the ‘Net.  Steve, John, & Frank have lots of experience and many valuable tips to help you get the best distribution for your media.

Saturday, May 21, 2011 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM Taping and Learning, Studio B

The MCTVA is looking for additional volunteers for an enjoyable day of “taping & learning”, on Saturday, March 21, 2011.

We will be in Studio B from 9:30 AM until about 3:30PM.  We will shoot two shows in the morning and two after lunch.  Now is a good time to come out and join your fellow volunteers, sharpen your studio skills, meet new people, and help make some quality television.  Food will be provided.  You are welcome for the morning session, the afternoon session, and all day if you wish.  This is a great opportunity to work different studio positions, to get fresh experience, and have fun making good television.

You must be appropriately studio or control room certified to use the equipment.

Please respond to mctvol@gmail.com if you’d like to be part of the crew.
